The Foster Gallery proudly welcomes you to view The Whisper of Change and New Beginnings, featuring artwork by three Bradley University students. Like many artists, Deicide Huxtable, Erin Lingenfelter, and Sydney Ryan missed community studio interactions during the pandemic. Sydney studied with Fisher Stolz. Deicide and Erin studied with Susanne Nestory and Heather Brammeier at Bradley University, online and in-person. While searching for a creative identity, these young artists investigate the fragility of life and the relevance and beauty of nature in their work.

Ellen Foster was a member of First United Methodist Church who endowed the Thomas S. Foster Endowment for Christianity and the Fine Arts.  "Ellie" was known to friends as a talented, gracious, spirit-filled lady who strived  to make a difference.  Active in both church and civic activities, this gallery is named for the Fosters in honor of their contribution "to provide partial funding of an outreach ministry of First United Methodist Church of Peoria which will focus on the impact of Christianity on the fine arts."
