Director of AV Production

REPORTS TO
Directing Pastor and Directors of Worship & Music

POSITION PURPOSE
To help the church make disciples of Jesus Christ through AV opportunities.

POSITION STATUS
Part-time (15 hours per week), non-exempt

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant field preferred.
  • Minimum three years of experience in managing audio, video, and lighting production
  • Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills relating to a diverse community.
  • Understanding of the United Methodist Church and Wesleyan perspective.

POSITION ESSENTIAL DUTIES
  • Perform sound engineer duties in weekend worship services, special events, weddings, and funerals   
  • Organize, train, and coordinate volunteer technicians/engineers and project leaders
  • Supervise the editing and posting of worship services to our on-line community 
  • Comprehend schematic and technical manuals
  • Operate equipment and integrated systems
  • Control cameras to adjust for lighting, gain, focus and white balance
  • Organize material and provide technical support to the staff
  • Perform maintenance on audio cables, speakers, projectors etc.  
  • Provide technical support to staff, members, and outside groups as needed

POSITION ANCILLARY DUTIES
  • Attend staff, worship, and church council meetings as assigned.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Kitchen Manager

REPORTS TO: Director of Administration & Facilities

POSITION PURPOSE: Provide oversight of kitchen, café, and food service

POSITION STATUS: Part-Time, Non-Exempt

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
• Associate Degree in Culinary Arts or equivalent
• Minimum two years of kitchen management experience
• Food Service Management and Sanitation Certification
• Skilled in food costs, safety measures, food/supply shipments, and inventory control
• Proficient in word processing, spreadsheets, internet, and social media resources
• Ability to demonstrate positive accountability to those in authority
• Ability to operate a motor vehicle with valid driver’s license
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds

POSITION ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
• Oversee proper food ordering, preparation, clean up, and kitchen safety techniques for Loaves and Fish, café, staff functions, and other church-wide events
• Maintain compliance with Peoria County Health Department and OSHA standards
• Create and sustain standardized recipes for meals that fulfill nutrition requirements
• Ensure that food is cooked properly, presents well, is correct serving proportion, and in a timely manner
• Provide inventory control over all food and supplies used for meal preparation
• Administer proper cleanliness of kitchen surface areas, food prep pans, dishes, utensils, and equipment
• Schedule regular inspections of all kitchen equipment
• Extend hospitality while serving all members and guests
• Count monies received at Sunday café, fill out deposit slip, and deposit in safe at church office
• Provide monthly kitchen report to supervisor for Trustees

POSITION ANCILLARY DUTIES:
• Participate in regular scheduled staff and leadership meetings
• Perform other duties as assigned

Custodian

REPORTS TO: Custodial Manager

POSITION PURPOSE: Assure cleanliness and safety of facility, equipment, and property

POSITION STATUS: Part-Time, Non-Exempt

QUALIFICATIONS:
• High School diploma or equivalent
• Two years of commercial cleaning experience preferred
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively with others
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
• Follow the church’s mission and staff covenant
• Prioritize and complete tasks in timely manner
• Seek ways to improve within areas of responsibility
• Remain open to new challenges and ideas

POSITION DUTIES:
• Follow cleaning schedule prepared by Custodial Manager
• Unlock building and prepare rooms for ministries and groups on daily basis
• Perform sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming of floors
• Empty trash and recycle bins throughout facility as needed
• Scrub bathrooms thoroughly and restock paper/soap products
• Clean windows, doors, and flat surfaces throughout building
• Check facility grounds and pick-up trash on daily basis
• Assist with snow and ice removal at church entrances as needed
• Assist staff and members with various needs of ministries and programs
• Perform other duties as assigned
