Director of Children and Family Ministries

POSITION PURPOSE:  To make disciples of Jesus Christ through Children and Family Ministries
POSITION STATUS:  Full-Time, Exempt    
REPORTS TO:  Directing Pastor
 
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent field of study preferred.
  • Minimum three years’ experience in childcare or similar position preferred.
  • Proficient in word processing, spreadsheets, necessary internet tools, and social media resources.
  • Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills in relating to members and diverse community.
  • Strong skillset in planning, coordinating, and implementing ministry/programming.
  • Ability to effectively supervise others and demonstrate positive accountability to those in authority.

POSITION ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
  • Plan, coordinate, and execute comprehensive ministry programs and outreach to children and families.
  • Procure quality curricula for children and families in Sunday school and other special programs.
  • Recruit and train-equip volunteer-servants in children and family ministries including annual Vacation Bible School, seasonal, and special events.
  • Create and manage annual budget including restricted funds relating to children and family ministries.
  • Identify all logistical and technology necessary to ensure effective ministry to children and families.
  • Design a viable, ongoing, volunteer-driven ministry to children at the Saturday ‘Alive’ worship service.
  • Provide full resources, guidance, and support for children and families within the Hispanic community.
  • Supervise and evaluate other staff involved in the delivery of children and family ministries.
  • Direct all necessary information related to Children and Family Ministries for website, print, intra-church, and community publicity to the Director of Communication.
 
POSITION ANCILLARY DUTIES:
  • Participate in regular team, staff, and leadership meetings.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Maintenance Manager

POSITION: Maintenance Manager
REPORTS TO: Director of Administration & Facilities
POSITION PURPOSE: Assure cleanliness and safety of facility, equipment, and property
POSITION STATUS: Part-time, Non-Exempt
 
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • High School diploma or equivalent required
  • Two years of maintenance experience in a business setting preferred
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with others
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
  • Follow the church’s mission and staff covenant
  • Prioritize and complete tasks in timely manner
  • Demonstrate positive accountability to those in authority
  • Effectively interact and work with diverse staff and community
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with others
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
 
POSITION ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
  • Set up rooms scheduled for various ministries and events
  • Inspect building, systems, and equipment regularly for potential issues
  • Provide maintenance on equipment and furnishings throughout the facility
  • Clean carpeting and tiling on rotation schedule
  • Oversee recycling and trash removal efforts
  • Assist with grounds keeping and landscaping as needed
  • Assist with snow and ice removal at church entrances as needed
  • Support staff and members with various needs of ministries and programs
